On the 14th anniversary of Party in the Library, Hartnell College Foundation celebrates incredible leadership in our community by presenting this award to Anne Secker for her outstanding leadership and support.
Anne Secker epitomizes great leadership, exemplifying class, sophistication and deep dedication to her community in everything she does. The Hartnell College Foundation is grateful to have benefitted from her incredible talents for a number of years. Under her presidency on the Hartnell College Foundation Board, we were able to become one of the top 25 foundations in the country for community colleges of our size. Anne has also been instrumental in the launching of our Legacy Society and 100 by 100 Legacy
Her experience in the nonprofit world and her commitment to service is extensive, including the Elkhom Slough Foundation, various wine and vintner groups, Monterey County Historical Resources Review Board, Ag Against Hunger and CHISPA. Anne’s involvement and work also span to affiliations with the Monterey County Bar Assoc.
Women Lawyers Assoc. and CA Women Lawyers. Our staff, board and anyone who is fortunate to work with Anne knows what an amazing woman, community leader, and mentor she is and we are pleased to have the opportunity to thank her and honor her in this very special way.
The Hartnell College Foundation Leadership Award was presented in 2007 to Gary Tanimura, in 2008 to David Gill in 2009 to Margaret DAmigo-Martin, in 2010 to Nick Pasculli, in 2011 to Bruce Taylor, in 2012 to Susan Gill in 2013 to Andy Matsui, in 2014 to Joanne Taylor, in 2015 to Karen Fanoe and Kathy Moser, in 2016 to Butch Lindley, in 2017 to Bob Martin and Cathy Schlumbrecht in 2018 to Alfred Diaz-Infante and in 2019, Nate Holaday.
These honorees have exhibited significant effort and leadership on behalf of the Foundation, the College, students, and alumni, that go above and beyond normal board or committee work.
