Gala for the Arts

Mark your calendars for the 2025 Gala for the Arts!

The 2025 Gala for the Arts will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Hartnell College.

You and your guests will enjoy a joyful evening of delicious food and drinks, a silent auction, an uplifting program, and the toe-tapping Bluegrass music of Hilltown. We’ll honor incredible individuals: a distinguished alum in the arts, a local arts hero, and a shining star from The Western Stage. After the event, guests are invited to attend Bright Star, a heartwarming musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, set in the Blue Ridge Mountains between the 1920s and 1940s.

Interested in being a sponsor? Learn more here or contact Celeste DeWald at cdewald@hartnellcollegefoundation.org or (831) 755-6810.

Why

Hartnell College’s academic and community programs in the arts inspire creativity, celebrate talent, and enrich the cultural fabric of the Salinas Valley.

The Gala for the Arts raises funds for scholarships and internships for Hartnell College students in the arts. The scholarships and internships funded by the Gala fill in gaps of access and opportunity to support creative and resilient artists who are making a difference. For example, an alumnus who graduated in 2016 with an AA in Photography is now a photojournalist for the Detroit Press and recently received a Best of Photojournalism award from the National Press Photographers Association.
